Wild NTXHL Host weekend - Houston, TX  (20/21 Oct 2007)
    Game 4 - Wild (9) vs. Team Houston - Hitmen (1)
Sugar Land, Sat, Oct 20, 2007 at 12:00 PM

The Wild kicked off their host weekend with the annual local derby against the Houston Hitmen. As always, even though a lot of competition exists between
the two leading Houston based youth hockey associations the game was played in good spirit.

The Hitmen suffering from a couple of injuries to leading players were always going to be under pressure and  managed to contain the Wild to only one
goal in the 1st  period. Premachuk rallied his troops during the break and they answered to the call outscoring the opposition 5 to 1 in the 2nd with a
further 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd. The Wild once again showed the balance of the team with 8 different players finding the back of the net and Derek
Krygier the only player to score twice.

    Game 5 - Wild (4) vs. DJHA Penguins (1)
Sugar Land, Sat, Oct 20, 2007 at 05:40 PM

The Dallas Junior Hockey Association as the largest youth hockey association in Texas through the years has proven to be well coached, very tough
opponents that play hard old school hockey and this game was no different.

The Wild absorbed the initial pressure and defenseman Cody Gamble came out of his goal scoring drought, scoring the first of his three goals in the 4th
minute with the Wild finishing the first period leading 2 to 1. The Wild continued to score unanswered goals in each of the two remaining periods of hard
unforgiving hockey that followed and in the end were victorious with a score of 4 to 1.

    Game 6 - Wild (10) vs. Alliance 14U (2)
Sugar Land, Sun, Oct 21, 2007 at 07:00 AM

The host weekend ended with the Wild playing their best game against the Alliance Hockey 14U team. After watching Alliance shutting out the Hitmen 4 – 0
the night before, it was obvious to the coaching staff and players that the Alliance is a force to be reckoned with.

With Jaime Larrea back from suspension the Wild started a very fast paced game at full strength and led 2 to 1 after the 1st period. Premachuk again
asked the question and the team responded with two periods of very structured team hockey outscoring the opposition 4 to 1 in the 2nd and the dam wall
breaking in the 3rd resulting in a winning margin of 10 - 2 for the Wild and Larrea scoring his second hatrick of the season.
Game 7 - Wild (4) vs. Dallas Ice Jets U14 (1)
Memorial City, Sat, Nov 03, 2007 at 13:30 PM

The Ice Jets, with blazing after burners flew into town for a full out assault on the Wild. As is common for teams coming off a great series like the Wild's
last NTXHL outing two weeks ago when they blasted the opposition off the ice, they battled to find their rhythm and form.

The Jets played structured hockey and pressured the Wild zone creating some chances but could not find the back of the net. Kasper Strindberg opened
the scoring in both the 1st and 2nd periods for the Wild and Captain Seth Doty converted an interference penalty shot that was awarded after he got in
behind the Ice Jets defence, the Wild winning in the end with a score of 4 - 1.

    Game 8 - Wild (1) vs. Texas Aces  (4)
Memorial City, Sat, Nov 03, 2007 at 06:15 PM

The Texas Aces travelled to Houston from Dallas undefeated in NTXHL this year and they kept their record intact while ending a 4 game Wild wining streak
    by a score of 4 - 1.

The Wild created many opportunities but the bounce of the puck did not go their way, while the Aces as masters of capitalizing on opponents mistakes
showed some of their individual brilliance and ability to score from scraps at critical turnovers while they defended well and on the day was the better team.

    Game 9 - Wild (4) vs. Team Houston - Hitmen (3)
Sugar Land, Sun, Oct 21, 2007 at 07:40 AM

While parents and agents were being hosted to a breakfast by the friendly Hitmen event organizers, the teams prepared for the game.

The previous game between these two local rivals went in favor of the Wild and there were tremendous expectation in both camps for the return contest.
The game lived up to expectations with the Hitmen scoring first and the Wild still struggling with their form fought an uphill battle throughout to crawl their
way back with Tim Conser scoring the game tying goal midway through the 3rd period.

Overtime was characterized by the Wild throwing everything at it and setting up camp in the opposition zone, but the Hitmen defended gallantly and
    miraculously forced a penalty shoot-out.

Wild captain, Seth Doty having been successful with a penalty shot already this weekend easily beat the opposition goalie while Wild goalie Jake Schnos,
playing his third game of the weekend calmly fended off all attempts on the Wild goal, resulting in a 4 - 3 win for the Wild.

A mark of a good team is when they manage to find a way to win even when they struggle with form and the Wild showed their quality in this game.
NTXHL weekend Dallas, TX
(10/11 Nov 2007)

The Wild traveled to Dallas for a tough series against the Ice Jets ’93 and Tulsa Flames. The Jets lived up to the pre-season prediction as the team to beat this
year and dominated most of the game and in the end were convincing victors with a score of 11-2.

Still unsettled by the game against the Ice Jets the Wild did not play to there normal potential two hours later against Tulsa Flames. The Flames played very
structured hockey and penalties by the Wild see them loose potential advantage at critical times and consequently lost 0-3.

In game 2 between these two teams on Sunday, the Wild showed some improvement and flashes of the early season form which resulted in the Wild opening the
score in the 2nd minute. Unnecessary penalties, turnovers at critical times and poor decision making resulted in the Wild loosing rhythm and falling back to
individual play upon which the Flames capitalized with structured team hockey. The youngest Wild team member, Kasper Strindberg kept them in the hunt with
two goals late in the 3rd but too much to do with not enough time resulted in a 3-4 loss to the Flames.
